DWAN vision is of an inclusive society where the Deaf Women and young deaf ladies are fully integrated, with equality of opportunity and participation. It is our role to make this Vision a reality by promoting the equal rights for Deaf Ladies and enhancing their life opportunities.


To establish DWAN as the top led humanitarian organization in Nigeria to which oversees the affairs of Young deaf ladies and women and attracts think thanks of all ages and backgrounds to provide sustaining humanitarian solutions

The Deaf Women Association of Nigeria (DWAN) is a member of the World federation of the deaf and partner of other notable Disability and Non-governmental Organization.


DWAN aims to work closely with the legislators in order to persuade and influence them on the need for improved access to legislative proceeding for the deaf women and young Ladies.


DWAN have executed a number of projects. this include successfully touching lives of Deaf Ladies in areas of skill aquistion, Sexual reproductive rights awareness program. SEE MORE ON Project Menu.

Health Services: improve the quality of Health care access for Deaf Ladies

DWAN recent project includes improved access to Primary health care for deaf Ladies through advocating for the use of interpreters in hospital and other deaf assisted infrastructures

Citizens living with disabilities

Advocates to ensure disabled friendly access to public facilities, public buildings and transportation .

Helping small business and create mini Jobs for growth

Ensure maximum economic independence of the deaf ladies through empowerment and skills acquisition training of its members.
